The Copywriting Process Explained

Your business is your baby, and it can be hard to let others help care for it. To ease your mind, I have outlined the process of working with a copywriter for hire so you won’t have to wonder what comes next.

 

Q: So how do I get started?

​

            First, you’ll fill out and submit the contact form. Once submitted, I will get back to you within three business days to set up a discovery call via Zoom. During this 15-minute call we will discuss your copywriting needs, pricing, and to see if we’re a good fit to work together.

 

Q: How much will this amazing copywriting cost?

​

            Each project is unique because your business and its needs are one of a kind. To give you the most accurate and tailored-to-you quote I will review your needs and send you your custom quote within 24 hours of our call. You will review the quote and let me know if we are going to proceed.

Upon receiving the go ahead from you, I will send you an invoice that describes the copywriting services we agreed on and asks for a 25% deposit.

 

Q: OK, and then what?

​

            We’ll hammer out the fine details with one more phone call or email questionnaire to ensure I have all the information I need about you and your business to create the best copy possible. We’ll also discuss the full scope of the project and home in on your goals. This is also a great time to ask any burning questions that have arisen since the discovery call.

 

 

Q: Will I be kept in the loop while you create my copy?

​

            Absolutely! You’re free to send questions or ask for updates at any time! I will also send follow-up questions should I need further clarification or approval on your copy. I will then deliver to you the draft of your copy, within the agreed-upon time frame, for your review.

 

Q: What if I read the draft and want something changed?

​

            No problem! It’s your business’s copy and I want you to be 100% satisfied with the final product. Any revisions can be requested at this stage and a delivery date for the final draft will be determined.

Q: And then I’ll receive my super-awesome new copy, right?

​

            You got it! The finished version of your sales-inducing copy will be delivered to you by the new deadline and ready for you to integrate into your business.

 

Q: When will final payment be due?

​

            Along with your final copy, you’ll receive an invoice for the remainder of payment. Final payment will be due within 30 days of invoicing.

 

Q: Can I contact you in the future if I need more of your copywriting services?

​

            Absolutely! Chances are, after you see what professional copywriting can do to your bottom line, you’ll want to reinvest some of your new-found profits back into your business. I’m always only an email away to discuss how we can tweak other aspects of your business and hit even bigger targets.
